So to start, THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. We walked in tonight because it was my Mom’s birthday and she wanted to try something new and the experience was amazing. The Server was amazing, she was helpful, patient and understood exactly what we wanted. She recommended some really Amazing dishes like the lamb and beef and it was perfect. The service was excellent. The guy that I’m guessing was the manager constantly checked in and shared some really cool information with us. The Herbal tea they have tasted amazing and he gave us a chance to smell what was in it and the smell was so hypnotic I’m pretty sure my Mom’s about to hunt it down. Overall it was amazing, a great experience. We’ll be back the next visit in Orlando.

Had the coffee ceremony and a baklava. 5-6 espresso shots and some sugar. Who could ask for more. Sat at the ‘bar’ and service was excellent and attentive.

Came here when my friend and I had randomly stumbled upon it in August 2024 so when we were traveling in the area again in January 2025 we just HAD to come back. The service 10/10 owner and employees were all very excited to teach us about their food and culture and were very sweet and helpful when we needed help deciding what to eat. Food was 100/10, the food tasted so good and came out perfectly cooked, lamb was tender and not dry whatsoever, the salad dressing on the lettuce was to die for, and the spices and flavors were nothing short of amazing. It has become a tradition for my friends and I to come to the restaurant every time we are back in Orlando if that says anything it should say that this restaurant is well worth visiting!

We came here as a project for my daughters college, to try a different food outside your culture, this was such an amazing experience, the service #1 was outstanding, they went out of their way to be accommodating and inclusive, explaining his culture with such an infectious passion. The food was amazing we got the meat vegi combo , hot tea spices were so comforting, baclava was so warm and not overly sweet. The honey wine was out of this world. Will come back again!

Great spot! The food is delicious, though I’ve had a slightly better Ethiopian experience at Desta in Atlanta. However, the taste here is still fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something different!

Made a quick trip to Orlando to celebrate my grandmother’s birthday, and during a family conversation about delicious Ethiopian food, we discovered Selam Ethiopian Restaurant. Let me just say, this place did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was fantastic—special shoutout to Kiki, who made our experience even better with her warmth and attention to detail. We ordered the platter with lamb, and it was incredible—flavorful, tender, and perfectly complemented by a little honey wine. To top it all off, we capped the meal with a baklava treat that was the perfect sweet ending. I wish we had captured a picture of the full spread because it was truly a feast, but all we had left were empty plates! Selam is definitely a place we’ll be returning to. Highly recommend!

Mmmmm! The lentil samosas so flavorful and the accompanying sauce, spicy, spot on! I got the meat platter. Injera was perfect on taste and texture. Each meat was flavored richly. Get the Ethiopian tea too with baklava.
